The Lookout Mountain Group (LMG) is a nonpartisan study group that is not affiliated with any colleges or universities, associations, or other organizations. The members are composed of a diverse group of college health professionals, students, student affairs leaders, and experts in health care reform, employee benefits, risk management, and insurance regulatory law. The LMG generally meets in January/February and during the American College Health Association’s annual June meeting. Periodic conference calls and other special meetings occur as needed.

The LMG’s first meeting was at the Colorado School of Mines, located at the base of Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado, in February 2009. The focus of LMG remains on College Health Programs, particularly those at residential colleges and universities that segment college students from the general adult community as a method of providing essential campus health and safety services.
